STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOESN’T IGNITE

For an electric stove does not start, ensure the appliance is plugged in and all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the stove is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit in the oven, that means a different part of the oven will have to be replaced. The reason for the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not produce heat won’t do much. Your oven does not heat if there’s a broken bake element or oven sensor. You always want a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is extremely hot, it might be because of a broken sensor or thermostat. Our repairmen are able to find the reason for the issue and then fix it. Just be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is when an igniter glows but won’t light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or sensor. We will determine if we can fix these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning types of ovens sometimes have door issues. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door latch, seal and thermostat to find out why the door doesn’t open and then we complete the necessary repair in order to put an end to the problem.
